Spirit Rock

The purpose of the Spirit Rock is to promote school spirit at Lincoln County Elementary School. Parents, caregivers, students & staff have the opportunity to “Rent the Rock” to recognize a student’s birthday, show school spirit, thank or recognize a teacher or staff member, mark congratulatory events, etc. It is a great way to spread positive messages and increase excitement in our community! 100% of the funds raised through the Spirit Rock will be used for activities that will benefit our students and school.

What can I reserve the rock for?

You can reserve the rocks for anything! A student’s birthday, thank a teacher or staff member, congratulatory events, good luck on competitions and tournaments, recognizing milestones… the rock is a fun way to spread any kind of positive message. Rock reservations will only be accepted by LCES school community members. Please note that profanity and political messages are not permitted.

What if I reserve the rock and the weather is bad?

The rock can be towel dried and the paint will adhere even in the rain and or snow if you want to brave the elements. If you do not want to paint in the rain or cold weather, revisit the calendar and pick another available date.

Can the school paint the rock for me?

LCES is not responsible for painting the rock. You can find someone to paint it for you, but painting the rock is fun, and we are sure that no matter what you do, the person you are painting it for will like it.

Tips & Tricks

- If you reserved the rock, but can’t remember the date you reserved, log into Sign Up Genius to check.

- The most popular paint to use is to spray paint. You will probably need 2-3 cans for a good base coat (more if your base coat is white). Please note that, latex paint and paint that is rolled on will take several hours to dry, as opposed to spray paint, which dries in several minutes.

- Please be kind to our environment and recycle your empty cans!
